Introduce refined, architectural elegance to your outdoor or interior spaces with our Black Basalt Stone Garden Bench. Expertly crafted from premium natural basalt stone, this bench presents a deep charcoal-black tone with a smooth, honed finish that highlights the stone’s natural density and strength. Its understated yet striking design makes it a versatile feature for both contemporary and traditional settings.
The bench is defined by a solid rectangular upper slab, forming a clean, linear seat with crisp edges and grounded presence. The top surface is finely honed, offering a sleek, tactile finish while revealing the natural tonal movement of the basalt. Beneath, the bench is supported by two sculpted legs with a gently curved, stepped profile, adding visual interest and a sense of crafted detail. These shaped legs soften the overall geometry, creating a balanced contrast between the straight-edged seat and the flowing contours of the supports, while ensuring excellent stability and strength.
Ideal for gardens, patios, courtyards, walkways, entrance areas, or interior feature spaces, the Black Basalt Stone Garden Bench combines durability with timeless design. Whether used as a standalone statement piece or incorporated into a wider stone scheme, it delivers a strong architectural character with a refined, minimalist aesthetic.
A full technical drawing sheet is provided with the product images. It includes detailed measurements such as overall bench length, height, leg width, and seat depth, ensuring straightforward planning, precise placement, and efficient installation.
We offer a complete bespoke service, crafting Black Basalt Stone benches to your exact specifications. If the standard size does not meet your design requirements, our team can produce fully customised dimensions or adapt the design to suit your project vision.
All bespoke benches are manufactured in the UK, with a typical lead time of 7–10 working days from the point of order.
As with all natural stone products, Black Basalt Stone benches display natural characteristics that contribute to their authenticity and individuality. These include:
* Surface Texture Variation – Fine-grained textures and subtle surface movement give the stone a refined yet organic appearance.
* Colour Variations – Predominantly deep black to dark charcoal, with occasional soft grey undertones influenced by lighting and stone composition.
* Mineral Inclusions – Naturally occurring mineral flecks or crystalline formations formed during basalt’s volcanic origin.
* Natural Density Marks – Minor surface or micro-textural variations resulting from basalt’s dense formation.
These characteristics are not defects; they are inherent to natural basalt and ensure each bench has its own distinctive, enduring, and architectural appeal.
