Quartz is easy to clean. In most cases with soap and water or a mild detergent will keep your Classic Quartz Stone slab looking like new. We recommend using warm water and a mild detergent or quality spray, such as “Dettol Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleaner” or “CIF Cleaner” [white natural].

For the leather finish “VIM” can also be used, in order to enjoy enduring beauty and unmatched performance for years to come. If necessary, use a non-abrasive soft soap along with a non-scratch or delicate scrub pad. Afterwards, thoroughly rinse with warm clean water and use paper towel cloth to remove any residue left over.

We advise that any spilled tea, coffee, juice or wine is to be removed as quickly as possible. Some foods have strong acids and colouring properties, if left on the worktop, could leave stubborn marks. If needed, apply a non-abrasive household cleaner, (a non-abrasive cleaner will not dull the surface shine) and rinse to remove residue.

To remove adhered material such as gum, nail polish or paint, first scrape and clean excess material with a plastic putty knife and then use warm water on a damp clean cloth to remove any marks or residual dirt.

For extra-stubborn stains, a non-scratch Scotch-Brite® pad or similar is recommended along with a non-abrasive cleaner. We do not recommend using strong chemicals or solvents, but if this is spilt on the slab wash off with clean warm water straight away.

Quartz is more heat resistant than other stone surfaces including most granite, marble and limestone; and is not affected by temperatures lower than 150°C (300°F).

However, like all stone material, quartz can be damaged by sudden and rapid temperature changes.

Therefore, we suggest that hot pots, saucepans, and frying pans never be directly placed on the surface.

We recommend the use of a chopping board, hot pad or trivet be placed on the surface under cooking units such as electric frying pans, deep fat fryers, crock pots, roaster ovens, etc.

By doing this you will avoid leaving burn marks on the quartz.

The Quartz Stone is a harder material; however avoid abuse of the surface by refraining from using sharp objects such as sharp knives or screw drivers directly onto the surface.

We advise using a chopping board, when cutting on the surface.

Metal Marks can stay of the quartz surface when cutting, these can be removed with “CIF Cleaner [white natural], and a soft cloth.

For the leather finish surface use “VIM”.

It’s important to be aware that like any other surface, Classic Quartz Stone can be permanently damaged if exposed to strong chemicals and solvents. These can damage its physical properties. Never clean your Classic Quartz Stone surface with products that contain Trichlorethane, dichloromethane or Methylene chloride, such as paint removers or strippers.

Avoid the use of highly aggressive cleaning agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have high alkaline/pH levels (pH 8.5 or higher). Products containing oils or powders may leave a residue and should be rinsed off thoroughly. Should your surface accidentally be exposed to any of these damaging products, rinse immediately with clean warm water to neutralize the effect.

Keeping your quartz looking new for longer we advise giving it a proper stone clean 3 – 4 times a year. Quartz is not indestructible.

• Direct Sunlight [UV-rays] can alter the colour of the quartz surfaces. We do not advise to install our quartz to an outdoor area.
  There is no problem installing behind a window, as glass has sufficient UV filters
• Never use colour enforcing products or multiple layers of impregnated products on the quartz surface, as a film will be created and will be hard to remove.
  Never use waxes, oils, greasy soaps, or shine improving products on the quartz surface, as a film will be created and will be hard to remove.
• Due to the hardness of the quartz stone certain impacts could make the stone crack or leave a small pit in the surface. In most cases this can be repaired with a special repair kit for kitchen worktops. We would advise you to speak with your fabricator if this happens.

Our Quartz Outdoor Range can be cleaned very easily with water and soap or with a neutral cleaner.

• Avoid using abrasive reagents or aggressive cleaning agents.
• Use a simple cloth or microfiber cloth for cleaning and avoid using an abrasive sponge.

In addition, we recommend the following to keep your Classic Quartz Outdoor looking its best:

• Cover the surface when not in use.
• Do not leave metal objects on the surface as they may cause rust stains.
• Do not use deep fat fryers and turkey fryers on the surface.
• Clean any stains or residue as soon as possible to prevent them from drying on the surface.
• Use of acetone is forbidden on Classic Quartz Outdoor Range.
